Sink the Ship

Introduction

Also known as The Real Sink.

How to Play

Take a pint glass or jug of beer and float a shot glass on the top. Players now take it in turn to pour beer into the shot glass trying to avoid sinking it (allow about 5 seconds between pours). The person who tips in the beer that make the shot glass sink has to fish the glass out and down it. The game can then start again until the jug is empty.

Alternative Version

Set the game up as above, but instead of pouring beer into the shot glass, players must take it in turns pouring any spirit they choose into the shot glass. The person that causes the shot glass to sink in the beer must pour about 3-4 fingers (or whatever you decide is a suitable penalty) of the jug into their own glass and drink it.

The shot glass is retrieved and play starts again; each time the shot glass sinks the offending player must drink from the jug. With each passing turn the concentration of spirits in the beer becomes more potent.
