Eyes Down, Eyes Up
Introduction
This fun, simple drinking game was invented by one of our creative readers, and simply requires a pack of cards, a pint glass and a group of friends in order to play and enjoy. Oh yes... and lots of drink!
How to Play
Players sit around the table with their drinks, with a pint glass in the middle. At the start of the game, one player (it doesn't really matter who) is appointed the job of dealer. They will have the deck of cards and will be in charge of controlling the game.
The dealer's job is simply to say "Eyes Down!". At this point, all the players must look down to the table or floor. Then, a few seconds later, the dealer shouts "Eyes Up!". All the players must look up towards another player. If any two players meet eye contact (this can be more that one pair), the dealer takes a card from the top of the deck and places it on the table. The value of each card has a name and a resulting action, as shown in the following table:

| 3 | Three | The people who make eye contact must take 3 sips. |
| 4 | Floor | Everyone must reach to the floor, the last person to touch the floor loses and has to drink. |
| 5 | Alive | No action is taken - this is the only safety card in the game. |
| 6 | Shit Mix | Everyone pours some of their drink into a pint glass to create the shit mix, then the pairs who made eye contact must each drink an equal portion of the pint. |
| 7 | Heaven | Everyone must reach to the sky, the last person that reaches up loses and has to drink. |
| 8 | Pick a Date | The people that met eye contact nominate someone else in the game to 'date'. They link arms with this person, and begin drinking till they choose to stop; the date must match their drinking. |
| 9 | To the Left of Mine | Each person must pass their drink to the person to the left of them, and then take a large swig of the drink that has been given to them, before passing it back again. |
| 10 | Men | All the men must drink. |
| Jack | Knock It Back | The people that met eye contact must drink half (or all, depending on the house rules) a full drink. |
| Queen | Be Mean | The people that met eye contact must choose someone to down half (or all, depending on the house rules) a full drink. |
| King | King Of The Hill | The people that met eye contact must begin downing a full drink. The first person to finish is king of the hill and can choose someone else to do a shit mix. |
| Ace | Waterfall | One of the people who met eye contact will begin drinking (this person can be chosen by the toss of a coin, the highest card, rock paper scissors, etc). Once they begin drinking, the person to the left beings and so on until back round to the person who began. This person decides when to stop drinking, and once they've stopped the next person can stop (or they can choose to carry on for a while), and so on around the circle. If you're to the right of the person who begins the waterfall, you're clearly in a bad position. |
Once you've learnt the different actions for each card (you can print these out to make it easier), it's a really simple game to play, and loads of fun.
