Trivial Pursuits

Introduction

This is the game that you intellectual drinkers have been waiting for. You'll need the board game Trivial Pursuit, at least 2 players, and plenty of beer, wine or spirits.

How to Play

Start a game and play as you normally would; players can act as individuals or teams. However, for each correctly answered question, the player (or team of players) is entitled to a roll of the die to move an extra pie holder known as the 'beer piece'. For example, for two correct answers the players are entitled to two rolls. The object of moving the beer piece is to try and get it to land on another player or team's pie holder. If this happens then the players who have been landed on must chug a beer or whatever they are drinking for the game. Lesser consumption is allowed for those of you who cannot handle a full beer, of course this rule is dependent on the mercy of the other players.

The beer piece is moved around in the following manner. The players who are entitled to roll to move the beer piece do so and move the beer piece whatever the die roll indicates. If the player who is moving the beer piece fails to land on another player then they roll again if they are so entitled. If, during the course of moving the beer piece, the player lands on a "roll again" then the player does so. If the player fails to land on another player and they have no more rolls then it is the end of their turn and the next player or team takes their turn rolling and answering questions as they normally would. If a player who is moving the beer piece succeeds in landing on another player then that players turn to move the beer piece ends and they may not go after another player even if they have more rolls coming to them. There should be one kill per turn only.

Alternative Version

Basically, play goes as normal. The only new rule is that, if you get a regular question wrong, you (and your partner(s), if playing teams.) drink once. If you get it right, the player or team to your left drinks once. On the pie spaces, the same rule applies; only the number of drinks is 5. When the game is won, the losing player(s)/ team(s) have to finish their drinks.
